Corporate Sales Executive - Lake County Captains (Eastlake, OH)

The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are seeking an experienced, driven individual to join our team and drive revenue growth via corporate sales.

The Captains play at state-of-the-art Classic Park, a 13-year-old facility that hosts over 110 events annually, including 70 Captains home games, high school football, high school baseball, celebrity softball, large-scale corporate gala and numerous other large- and small-scale events.

Position in the corporate structure:  The Corporate Sales Executive (the “Individual”) will report directly to the Assistant General Manager – Sales of the Lake County Captains (the “Company”).

Corporate Sales Duties:

1.     Generate successful sales results through the utilization of all available sales tools, devices, and products approved by management.

2.     Achieve all established personal sales and service goals assigned.

3.     Constantly prospect for new business leads and sales opportunities throughout Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Ashtabula counties as well as research and contact regional and national organizations.

4.     Properly manage additional corporate sales duties and departmental responsibilities as assigned.

5.     Design effective corporate sales campaigns to work in achieving personal sales growth and to benefit and contribute to the overall corporate sales department.

6.     Report and communicate on a regular basis to the Assistant General Manager - Sales as to personal sales activity, programs, and results as it relates to personal sales goal status

7.     Attend weekly corporate sales meetings and report on personal new sales growth.

8.     Participate in on-site appearances and community promotions as needed, provided these present opportunities to grow the company’s sales effort. 

9.     Ensure the Lake County Captains brand is displayed and represented at the highest level of professionalism when appearing in the community.

10.  Maintain an accurate database of all sold accounts and current/potential leads.

11.  Coordinate with the Assistant GM - Sales on an in-season and post-season customer service program. 

12.  Be a leader in selling corporate partnerships for Classic Park non-Captains game events.

13.  Identify and develop new corporate partners throughout the season with the goal of creating relationships to grow this year and in the future.

Desired Skills:

14.  Fully versed in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

15.  General understanding of social media platforms and experience in using these tools to develop sales opportunities.

16.  At least one year of direct sales and inside call experience proven track record of generating personal sales growth in a professional sports or media environment.

17.  A positive outgoing attitude, excellent interpersonal communication and team working skills.

18.  A strong work ethic, attention to detail, creativity and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks, team members, and events in an organized fashion.

19.  Work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
