Title:    Assistant, Food & Beverage Operations

Position in the corporate structure:  This is a full-time seasonal (January –September) position. The Assistant, Food & Beverage Operations will report directly to the Director, Food & Beverage.

Assistant, Food & Beverage Operations Duties:

* Assist in ensuring the department attains its financial objectives by analyzing revenues and controlling expenses and providing leadership by example to those who report to you.

* Work with the Director, Food & Beverage during the hiring, training and supervision processes involved with all seasonal, part-time employees.

* Develop a staffing model for concession stands, suite level and picnics which will be used in staffing each home game based upon pre-sold and projected attendance numbers.

* Assist Director, Food & Beverage with all operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to ensure all goals are satisfied.

* Assist in the oversight of the Point of Service (POS) systems (Soft Touch and Square), including teaching others the proper ways to operate the system, monitoring system operations; determining system improvements; implementing change.

* Assist Director, Food & Beverage in the development, execution and oversight of the entire menu process for all areas of the operation.

* Assist Director, Food & Beverage in placing orders and working with food service suppliers to ensure product is received and accounted for.

* Assist Director, Food & Beverage in ensuring a positive, safe environment is always maintained for all employees within and outside the department. This includes, but is not limited to: positive reinforcement, suppressing internal complaints and leading others by example to ensure the philosophical goals of the Company’s internal and external customer service program are attained.

* Assist Director, Food & Beverage in ensuring a healthy environment is maintained at all times within the standards set forth by the Health Department and Company.

* Work to ensure customer satisfaction by investigating and resolving complaints about food quality and/or service and reporting positively on the findings to ensure those involved may learn from the experience.

 Qualifications:

*Ability to make sound business/operations decisions (i.e. regarding employee placement, staffing adjustments, and/or respond to technical, product or equipment challenges during an event) quickly under pressure.

*Solid working knowledge of computer applications, POS systems, timekeeping systems, and employee scheduling.

*Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

* Possess (or obtain) a Level 2 Certification in Food Protection attained through the Ohio Department of Health. 

*Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards pertaining to Captains Concession operations.

*Ability to calculate basic math functions as they relate to POS, cash and credit reconciliation, and product inventory.

*Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.

2017 LAKE COUNTY CAPTAINS PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL CLUB INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

Title: Ticket Sales Intern – Game Day

Position in the corporate structure: This is a part-time internship that begins in May and concludes in early September, 2017. The Ticket Sales Intern will report directly to the Assistant GM and the Box Office Manager.

Ticket Sales Intern Duties:

1) Assist ticket sales staff members with specific sales responsibilities, including: sales calls to prospective clients; assist in processing ticket orders and coordination of group events.

2) Perform personal sales calls during the season to gain experience selling ticket packages and group events to local businesses and individuals.

3) Assist in pocket schedule distribution throughout the Lake County community.

Game Day

4) Continue the sales process by ensuring detailed execution of all group events is completed and each game’s groups are processed properly.

5) Assist the sales staff in the execution of each individual’s groups and account follow-up prior to and during games.

6) Assist the ticket sales staff in preparing all private group areas, as needed, for each game.

7) Assist the ticket sales staff in setting up and breaking down the Ticket Information Center prior to and after each game, ensuring all necessary materials are displayed and stored correctly.

8) Assist in the oversight of the part-time box office staff.

9) Answer in-coming phones and exhibit good customer service.
